The platforms are good at storing data. They're terrible at moving it. The data lives in one tool; the form you need to fill is in another. The bridge between them is always a human being, manually copying and pasting.

Why a Chrome extension?
We considered building an API integration layer, a standalone platform, even a mobile app. Every approach required your team to change something — their tools, their workflow, their habits.
A browser extension sits invisibly between you and the tools you already use. It doesn't replace anything. It doesn't require IT sign-off or migration projects. It just makes the tools you already have significantly faster.
The right tool for the job is the one that actually gets used. A Chrome extension gets used.

A faster but wrong form fill creates more problems than it solves. AsBuilt's mapping engine prioritizes correctness, and when it's not confident, it tells you — rather than guessing silently.
